5th Grade Read-A-Thon
	November 21, 2003 Piggott's 5th grade participated in a read-a-thon to raise $12,000 to purchase 20 new eMacs. They raised over $8,000!

Rep. Jon Porter's Visit
	On October 10, 2003 Congressman Jon Porter came to Piggott to meet with the entire 5th grade. We enjoyed his stories of Washington and were impressed with his desire to serve us.

Washington, D.C. Tour
	September 26, 2003 Students in Mrs. Garner's Class displayed replicas of famous D.C. monuments and government buildings. They gave "tours" of their buildings and showed off what they learned.
