Dear Parents,
We will be working on our production of Hamlet over the next month. Your children have worked very hard to learn their lines and your help is evident. Thanks so much for your support. This note is to answer any concerns you might have about your childs costume for our play.
Costumes can be simple and may be made from items you already have or can borrow. Boys can wear long-sleeved, loose-fitting womens blouses, vests, capes, tunics, tights, sweat pants, shorts, and ballet slippers or soft boot-like shoes. Girls will need long dresses, or a dressy blouse and a long shirt.
Some parents have asked about renting costumes. If you desire to rent or purchase a costume, the costume shops listed below have medieval/renaissance clothing. I have called and negotiated some discount prices for a two-day rental. A deposit may be required. Let them know you are from Mrs. Garners class and Goolsby Elementary.
